Joe Lunardi dropped his latest bracketology update for ESPN Friday morning with a particularly interesting look at the bubble.

Out of the B1G, 3 teams are of particular interest. Wisconsin, Michigan and Penn State are all hovering on the bubble and near the cut line.

When it comes to Micah Shrewsberry’s Nittany Lions, Lunardi has Penn State up into the “last team in” slot for the NCAA Tournament. Penn State is currently on a streak of 4 wins in the past 5 games with a chance to solidify its spot Sunday in a game against No. 21 Maryland.

Getting Penn State into the tournament would be a huge win for head coach Micah Shrewsberry. The Nittany Lions have not made it into the big dance since the 2010-11 season with Shrewsberry in his second season leading the program.

If Penn State makes the cut as the last team in, that would put the Nittany Lions in the “First Four” matchups. Lunardi currently projects Nevada as the matchup for Penn State.

In terms of the other B1G bubble teams, Wisconsin is currently among the “last four in” while Michigan would fall in the “first four out” section.
