John Harrar’s massive double-double leads Penn State past Northwestern

Penn State surged past Northwestern with a big second half Friday night, finishing off a 67-60 win over the Wildcats.
The evening was a banner performance from big man John Harrar. He posted a double-double with 11 points and a new career-high of 20 rebounds in the win. That number included 6 offensive rebounds.

Dallion Johnson led Penn State with 15 points on an impressive 5-for-9 shooting performance from 3-point range, but the night belonged to Harrar’s work inside. Harrar added a late emphatic block to round out his night.

The win gives Penn State 3 victories in its past 4 games and moves the record on the season to 12-13 (7-10 in B1G play).
Northwestern was led by Pete Nance with 12 points. The Wildcats are now 13-14 overall (6-12 in B1G play) and have just 1 win in their past 5 games after a 3-game winning streak.
