Journey Brown will be missed on the football field, but he remains confident in what his teammates can do for the time being.

News broke late Monday evening that Brown would not be available to start the 2020 season. According to that statement, Brown is dealing with an undisclosed medical condition that could keep him sidelined for all of 2020.

That is definitely a big blow to Penn State as Brown was a driving force with the offense last season. However, he made a quick video Tuesday to let fans know he is feeling good and has confidence that the Lawn Boyz will carry on in his absence.

In his absence, Noah Cain has been elevated to starting running back on the depth chart for the opener against Indiana. Cain is followed by Devyn Ford and Caziah Holmes on the depth chart.

The Nittany Lions would obviously love to have Brown available. However, there’s no denying Penn State’s running back group is extremely deep and talented and should be equipped to  handle his absence.
