Penn State now knows at least one player the Nittany Lions will not have to prepare for in the Rose Bowl against Utah.
Sunday evening, star tight end Dalton Kincaid announced he would not be participating in the Rose Bowl due to an injury. Kincaid is Utah’s leading receiver and will be moving on to the 2023 NFL Draft after the season officially wraps up.

“It is with a heavy heart that I announce that, due to an injury, I will not play in the Rose Bowl,” Kincaid announced on social media. “My plan is to rehab and prepare for the NFL Draft. I will, however, still attend the Rose Bowl and support and cheer for my teammates. I am so excited to watch them compete on January 2nd.”
During the 2022 season, Kincaid led the Utes with 70 catches for 890 yards and 8 touchdowns. He wraps up his collegiate career with over 1,400 yards receiving and 16 touchdowns. In last season’s Rose Bowl, Kincaid had 3 catches for 45 yards and a touchdown against Ohio State.
