After a long day of competitive games, ESPN college football analyst Kirk Herbstreit released his top-4 after Week 5. And there was a B1G team in his rankings.
On Saturday, the Penn State Nittany Lions absolutely crushed the Indiana Hoosiers. Thanks to their performance against the Hoosiers, the Nittany Lions came in at No. 4 on Herbstreit’s rankings.

It is not surprising to see Alabama, Clemson and Oklahoma above Penn State still. However, it is interesting to see Georgia now in the mix and TCU sitting at No. 6. It will certainly be interesting to see how the Final Four ends up this season, but make sure to keep an eye on Penn State. The Nittany Lions are currently the B1G’s best chance to make the playoffs.
