Former Penn State wide receiver KJ Hamler is joining the Nike team as he pursues a career in the NFL.

The human joystick announced in an Instagram post that he’s signed an endorsement deal with the popular shoe company. It should be a smooth transition, as Penn State is one of the many athletic programs to have a deal with Nike.

“Blessed to finally say that I will officially be joining the Nike Football family,” Hamler wrote.

Hamler was one of the top wide receivers in the B1G in 2019, totaling 56 catches for 904 yards and eight touchdowns. He was known for his impressive speed and ability to elude defenders frequently.

The Nittany Lions finished the season with an 11-2 record.

Hamler’s speed and elusiveness have been attractive assets to several NFL teams, and he could be an early selection in the 2020 NFL Draft. Not only can he be a solid receiver, Hamler could be an excellent return man in the league.

It should be interesting to see where Hamler lands come next month.
