Things were going pretty much all Penn State’s way in the first half, and an early 21-0 run was capped off by an outstanding pass and catch from Sean Clifford to KJ Hamler.

In the second quarter of Saturday night’s primetime showdown between No. 16 Michigan and No. 7 Penn State, Hamler beat the defender down the field and Clifford launched a pass deep into the end one. A wide open Hamler ran under the ball and it fell perfectly into his hands.

That touchdown catch gave the Nittany Lions an early 21-0 lead. Below is the pass and catch:

Michigan was able to get a little momentum offensively late in the second quarter, but Penn State still dominated the first two quarters of the contest. We’ll see if that continues in the second half.
