KJ Hamler was looking for a Year 2 jump to his NFL career in 2021. Unfortunately, that campaign was just getting off the ground when Hamler went down with an injury.

Attempting to high-point a pass from Teddy Bridgewater, Hamler came down awkwardly with an ugly-looking injury. Hamler was diagnosed with a torn ACL and also hurt his hip on the play.

Now, looking to get back on the field for 2022, the Denver Broncos revealed a positive update on Monday. Hamler is officially off the PUP (Physically Unable to Perform) List and is back on the practice field for the second week of training camp.

Hamler was seen working with a large brace on his left knee during practice but moving well. Hopefully he is able to continue his progression and get off to a strong stat in 2022.

The 2nd-round pick in 2020 out of Penn State appeared in 3 games (2 starts) before his injury in 2021. It will be interesting to see what Hamler’s role is alongside new Broncos QB Russell Wilson.
