Lance Dixon was once a highly-regarded recruit for Penn State who transferred to West Virginia after 2 seasons. It looks as if he is on the move again: he will reportedly enter the transfer portal for the 2nd time, according to 247Sports’ Matt Zenitz and Chris Hummer.

Dixon was considered a 5-star recruit at linebacker by 247Sports and a Top 15 player in the class of 2019 before signing with the Nittany Lions. After redshirting, he played 9 times in 2020 and started once, making 10 tackles and 2.5 TFLs.

He then transferred to West Virginia, where he started in 4 games in 2021 and played in 10 overall while being credited with 14 tackles. In 2022, he made 22 stops across 9 games (5 starts). He then played in 6 games in 2023 and made 14 tackles, but missed significant time due to a suspension for undisclosed reasons.

Now, Dixon appears set to spend his remaining year of eligibility elsewhere as he seeks a change of scenery and an opportunity to finish his collegiate career on a high note.
