LOOK: BTN's Kevin Kugler honoring Matt Millen in broadcast booth
BTN analyst Matt Millen has stepped away for the rest of the season, but his broadcast partner is finding a way to keep him along for the ride this season.
In a post on Twitter Saturday morning, Kevin Kugler pointed out that the broadcast crew he works with during the season is in itself a family of sorts. Kugler said the crew will be missing one of its family members who is not with them, but indicated Millen will be on everyone’s minds.
The Big Ten Network announced earlier in the week that Millen will miss the rest of 2018 to focus on his health. Millen is battling a condition called amyloidosis and called the first five games of the 2018 season with Kugler.
Though Millen will not be with the crew, Kugler still found a way to honor him in the broadcast booth. Kugler shared a photo of a cutout of Millen’s face and jersey that he will keep in the booth:
Millen played for Penn State from 1976-79. Our thoughts and prayers go out to Millen in his fight moving forward.
