This is a great endeavor for the Nittany Lions.

Saturday’s game against Wisconsin in Happy Valley will have a special significance for Penn State. It will mark the annual THON Game for the Nittany Lions, and Penn State Football announced former DL Devon Still and his daughter, Leah, will serve as the honorary captains for the game.

According to THON’s website, it is “A student-run philanthropy committed to enhancing the lives of children and families impacted by childhood cancer.” The Still’s story is also well-known as Devon documented his daughter’s battle with cancer as a child.

Thankfully, Leah is in remission, but her father continues to fight for and help those dealing with childhood cancer. Saturday’s game will be a chance for Penn State to shine a little light on those who continue to battle the disease, and this is a neat way to make a difference.
