Mark Stoops is loving every little bit of Kentucky’s Citrus Bowl win.

The Wildcats posted a 27-24 victory over Penn State in Orlando on Tuesday, finishing the year with a 10-3 record. It was the first time Kentucky reached 10 wins in a season since 1977. It was a great ending to an incredible campaign.

But Stoops wasn’t satisfied with just getting the victory on the field at Camping World Stadium on New Year’s Day. He had to take a jab at Penn State before it was all said and done.

“Don’t ever question who the real blue and white is,” Stoops said after the game.

Kentucky led wire-to-wire on Tuesday, jumping out to an early 10-0 lead in the first quarter. The Wildcats then took a sizeable 20-point lead in the third quarter, ahead 27-7 entering the final 15 minutes.

Despite a furious comeback from the Nittany Lions, the Wildcats held on for the three-point victory. Benny Snell Jr. finished the day with 144 yards and two touchdowns on 26 caries, leading the way for the Wildcats.

Penn State ended the year 9-4.

Kentucky enjoyed one of the best seasons in program history this year and capped it off with a huge win. Stoops doesn’t want anyone to forget it, either.
