As the captains meet up in the middle of the field before kickoff, Maryland players will recognize one of the captains on the other side for Penn State, as he was a former player for the Terrapins.

Maryland transfer Chop Robinson will be a captain for the Nittany Lions as the two sides square off on Saturday.

A 5-star recruit in the 2021 class, Robinson transferred from Maryland after his true freshman season. Robinson appeared in 13 games at Maryland, where he recorded 19 total tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, and 2 sacks.

Since transferring from Maryland, Robinson has made a big impact in State College. Robinson was previously named the B1G’s Defensive Player of the Week in Week 2.
