Micah Parsons celebrates arrival of baby girl ahead of NFL Playoff game
Micah Parsons has more than one reason to celebrate this weekend. Not only will the LB be headed to the NFL Playoffs with the Dallas Cowboys, but his new daughter arrived on Saturday.
Parsons was not in attendance at Dallas’ walk-through practice on Saturday. The LB later announced the birth of his daughter on social media, tweeting “7.1 ounces! Thank you God for blessing me with most beautiful baby girl! #girldad.”
The Cowboys organization retweeted Parson’s announcement, saying “The newest member of #CowboysNation has arrived just in time to watch her dad in the #NFLPlayoffs! Congrats to Micah and his growing pride!”

Parsons was an elite performer at Penn State prior to his NFL career. The LB was a consensus All-American, the Butkus–Fitzgerald Linebacker of the Year award winner, and the Cotton Bowl Defensive MVP in his time as a Nittany Lion.
As a Cowboy, Parsons was named Defensive Rookie of the Year following the 2021 season. He had 12 sacks in his first 13 games as an NFL rookie, the fourth-most by a rookie in NFL history. This season, Parsons was named the 2022 Midseason Defensive Player by Fox Sports.
