Micah Parsons is having himself a day.

The rookie linebacker for the Dallas Cowboys got to Washington quarterback Taylor Heinicke in the first quarter of Sunday’s game, forcing a fumble that was returned for a defensive touchdown. The sack made it 6 straight games in which the former Penn State man has recorded a full sack, making him one of just 3 rookies in NFL history to do that.

He then followed up that play with a second-quarter takedown of Heinicke, blowing past his blocker—Washington tried to cover him with a running back (lol)—and recording his 12th sack of the season.

A 1st-round selection by the Cowboys in the 2021 NFL Draft, Parsons appears to have Defensive Rookie of the Year on lock, but many are starting to speculate if he shouldn’t be in the running for Defensive Player of the Year… and maybe something more.
