Penn State didn’t get the job done. One can argue that it failed against Ohio State. When a program is at the level Penn State is at, it is expected to win the big games.

The Nittany Lions had to win in order to keep their College Football Playoff hopes alive. They didn’t.

That being said, Penn State put up a fight. The Nittany Lions trailed 21-0 at one point and got it back to a 21-17 deficit. Ohio State added a late touchdown to make it an 11-point differential.
