Micah Parsons continues to be recognized for his outstanding play with the Dallas Cowboys.

Following his Week 5 performance, Parsons was named the NFC Defensive Player of the Week. He had one of his best performances of the season last Sunday. In the win over the Los Angeles Rams, Parsons recorded 5 combined tackles, 2 sacks, and 1 forced fumble.

His defensive performance helped the Cowboys secure a 22-10 road win over the Rams. The Cowboys’ defense limited Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford to 1 passing touchdown and 308 passing yards. The win gave the Cowboys a 4-1 record through 5 games.

On the season, Parsons has progressed into a role as a defensive leader on the team. He recorded 19 total tackles and 6 sacks in 5 games in 2022. His presence has helped the Cowboys become one of the best defenses in the NFL.

Parsons, who is in his 2nd season in the NFL, was drafted by the Cowboys in the 1st round of the 2021 NFL Draft. As a rookie, Parsons was the NFL Defensive Rookie of the Year. He also was selected the Pro Bowl in 2021 as a rookie. In less than 2 years with the Cowboys, Parsons has emerged as a great defensive player.
