Penn State basketball will tip-off this month and the Nittany Lions will have a new head coach roaming the sidelines. Micah Shrewsberry will be in his first season at the helm.

Shrewsberry previously served two stints as an assistant at Purdue under Matt Painter (2011-2013, 2019-2021). At B1G Media Days, Shrewsberry touched on a variety of topics, such as the impact Painter has had on him.

Here’s a sampling of what Shrewsberry had to say:

Penn State is coming off an 11-14 record last season and begins this season with a home game vs. Youngstown State on Nov. 10 (8:30 p.m. EST/BTN). Penn State starts B1G play with a home matchup vs. Ohio State on Dec. 5 (7:30 p.m. EST/BTN).
