Miles Sanders continues to rake in the accolades after his career day against Illinois on Friday night.

Sanders rushed for 200 yards and three touchdowns on 22 careers against the Illini, all career highs, as the Nittany Lions posted a 63-24 win in the B1G opener. On Monday, Sanders was recognized by the B1G for his outstanding performance, sharing Player of the Week honors with Dwayne Haskins.

Later Monday, the Rose Bowl announced that the Penn State running back had earned Player of the Week honors, as well.

Sanders currently ranks second in the B1G in rushing yardage thanks to his big day. In four games, he’s totaled 495 yards and five touchdowns on 71 carries.

Friday night’s performance marked the second time this season Sanders has eclipsed the 100-yard mark and just the first time he’s hit 200 yards in his career.

Penn State will need another brilliant performance from their star back next Saturday, when the Nittany Lions host Ohio State.
