The second-best junior college prospect in the 2022 recruiting class is heading to Penn State.
Friday afternoon, Lackawanna Community College offensive tackle JB Nelson announced his commitment to Penn State. He posted his commitment status on Twitter, selecting the Nittany Lions over offers from Maryland, NC State, West Virginia and Ole Miss.
Nelson is listed as a 3-star offensive lineman. The 6-foot-6, 310-pound tackle is a native of Pittsburgh, so he’ll be staying close to home to play Division I football. All rankings come from 247Sports Composite.

Nelson’s commitment comes after a visit to the Penn State campus. He joins a 2022 recruiting class that currently ranks No. 8 nationally and No. 2 in the B1G, behind only Ohio State.
Penn State currently has 13 players in the 2022 class and Nelson is the third offensive lineman to join.
