Nick Singleton turns on the afterburners, extends Penn State lead with pair of long TD rushes
Nick Singleton turned on the afterburners for a 45-yard score Saturday against Maryland. Then he basically did it again the following possession.
On 4th and 1, Singleton found a hole to extend the lead for the Nittany Lions against the Terrapins. He was practically untouched.
It’s plays like this that make you marvel in the fact that Singleton is only a freshman and already playing like the best athlete on the field.

His 2nd was eerily similar. Once again on 4th and 1, Singleton rushed for a 27-yard touchdown. This time he had to work a little more for it.
