Jordan Norwood wasn’t even the starting punt returner for the Denver Broncos. Still, he found a way to etch his name in the Super Bowl record books.

The former Penn State receiver fielded a punt that apparently everyone on the Carolina Panthers thought was a fair catch.

It definitely wasn’t, and Norwood definitely made them pay with a 61-yard punt return:

Norwood nearly became the first player in Super Bowl history to return a punt for a touchdown. If not for a last-ditch effort, it would’ve been.

Still, Norwood earned himself a moment he’ll be able to tell his grandkids about.
