Olu Fashanu earns national honor following strong performance vs. Iowa
Olu Fashanu is perhaps the best offensive tackle in the entire country. On Tuesday, he added another national award to his trophy case.
Fashanu, who declined the opportunity to enter the 2023 NFL Draft last season, was named the Week 4 Outland Trophy National Player of the Week recipient, an honor given to the top offensive or defensive lineman in the country.
Of course, at the end of the year the Outland Trophy is awarded to the top player in that category across the entire season. Michigan center Olusegun Oluwatimi won the honor last year.

Fahsanu led the way for a Penn State offensive line that paved the path for 215 rushing yards while allowing zero sacks against a strong Iowa defense.
The Nittany Lions are for real in 2023. They’ll be back in action this weekend against a Northwestern team that shocked Minnesota last week.
