Parker Washington, standout WR for the Nittany Lions revealed Friday that his time in State College has come to an end.

With an announcement on Twitter, Washington stated that after consideration and speaking with his coaches and family, that he will be declaring for the 2023 NFL Draft.

“Thank you to my family and coaches for the discussions, for helping me weigh the pros and cons, for helping me choose the next path in my journey,” said Washington. “With that being said, I will be declaring the for the 2023 NFL Draft”

Washington was Penn State’s leading receiver with 611 yards receiving and 2 touchdowns before suffering an undisclosed season-ending injury prior to the Rutgers matchup in Week 12. In 2020 and 2021, he ranked second on the team behind Jahan Dotson in both catches and receiving yards.

Washington had two years of eligibility remaining, but will forego those two years to roll the dice as a NFL prospect.
