Penn State Athletic Director Sandy Barbour announced in December that she would be receiving a contract extension to remain in her position, and things became official on Friday.

Barbour has inked a four-year contract extension, and will serve as the AD in State College through the 2022-23 academic year. The deal also comes with a title change, as Barbour will be the Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics.

Over the four years, Barbour will receive $6.165 million. She will get $1.169 million this year and will receive a $50,000 raise each year.

Though Barbour said that she had reached a deal with Penn State during the Citrus Bowl press conference in December, it still needed to be approved by the Board of Trustees’ compensation committee. A meeting was held this month.

Barbour came to Penn State in August 2014.
