Concerns of COVID-19 are rearing their ugly heads again.

Thursday morning, Penn State announced that its men’s basketball game against VCU scheduled for Saturday has been canceled because of positive tests within the program. The school released a statement on the situation.

“Penn State men’s basketball’s road game at VCU scheduled for Saturday has been cancelled due to positive COVID-19 results within the Nittany Lion basketball program,” the statement said. “The game will not be rescheduled.”

No other details were provided in the release.

Penn State is 5-5 on the season. The Nittany Lions were last in action on Dec. 11, an 80-64 loss to Michigan State. With the latest cancelation, Micah Shrewsberry’s team won’t be back on the court until a Dec. 22 contest against Quinnipiac.
