Penn State just added a huge commitment to its 2022 recruiting class.

4-star guard Jameel Brown has announced he’ll be joining the Nittany Lions:

Brown is from Philadelphia and attends Haverford School. He’s listed at 6-foot-4, 190 pounds.

According to 247Sports Composite rankings, Brown is the No. 107 overall player and the No. 19 combo guard in the class of 2022.

Brown was previously committed to Purdue, but decommitted back in March. He also has offers from Minnesota, Auburn, Marquette and other major college basketball programs.

Penn State now has three commitments in its 2022 class. According to 247Sports Composite rankings, the Nittany Lions’ class currently ranks No. 50 nationally and No. 9 in the Big Ten.

That’s not a bad start for new coach Micah Shrewsberry, who is in his first offseason as Penn State’s head coach. PSU is hoping to make its first NCAA Tournament since 2010-11 this season.
