Penn State creeps into Virginia, lands pledge from 2023 OL
James Franklin and his staff crossed state lines to land Penn State’s latest commitment of the 2023 class.
Anthony Donkoh, an offensive lineman in the 2023 recruiting class, has verbally committed to Penn State. He made his announcement on Friday afternoon with a post on Twitter. The lineman becomes the seventh player of the cycle to commit to the Nittany Lions.
“My love for football is boundless,” Donkoh wrote in a Twitter post. “No amount of adversity will deter me from fulfilling my destiny.”

At the time of his commitment, Donkoh held offers from three other programs. He committed to Penn State over Duke, Virginia Tech and West Virginia.
The 6-foot-5, 310-pound Donkoh is considered one of the Top 500 prospects in the 2023 class, per 247Sports’ Composite rankings. He’s listed as the No. 31 interior offensive lineman and ranks No. 455 nationally.
