One of Penn State’s best recruits from the class of 2020 has reportedly elected to hit the transfer portal.

According to Ryan Snyder with On3 Sports, defensive back Enzo Jennings is entering the portal on Thursday. Jennings made his Penn State debut during last year’s season finale vs. Illinois. He did not see action during 2021.

Jennings originally joined the Penn State program as a 4-star recruit and the No. 7 safety nationally for the class of 2020. Jennings was Penn State’s 3rd-highest commit for the cycle behind OLB Curtis Jacobs and TE Theo Johnson. A host of B1G programs also had offers into Jennings coming out of high school.

Penn State has gone through some changes recently, including defensive coordinator Brent Pry leaving to take the head coaching position at Virginia Tech. It will be interesting to see if Pry’s departure has an impact on any Nittany Lion defenders moving forward.
