Penn State DB, veteran contributor on defense reportedly opts for transfer portal
A veteran piece of Penn State’s defense is reportedly in the transfer portal after Monday.
The player is Marquis Wilson, a former 3-star prospect coming to the Nittany Lions via the 2019 recruiting class. According to ESPN’s Adam Rittenberg, Wilson is in the portal and looking at his options this offseason.

During the 2022 season, Wilson post career-high marks with 20 tackles, 1.5 TFL and 2 pass breakups for the Nittany Lions. He has career totals of 55 tackles, 3 TFL, 2 interceptions, 4 pass breakups and 3 forced fumbles in his four seasons at Penn State.
Wilson’s best game during the 2022 season came in the road win over Auburn when he produced a career-high 6 tackles. He also has 3 career catches for 29 yards.
