It’s just not Michigan State’s day. Actually, it might not be the Spartans’ season either.

With Penn State shutting out the Spartans in the first half Saturday, Michigan State has now gone eight straight quarters without scoring. That’s right. Michigan State has zero points in the last 123 minutes and 36 seconds of game time.

On their best chance to score in the first half Saturday, Penn State defensive end Shaka Toney blocked a Spartans’ field-goal attempt. But the funniest part about the block wasn’t the fact it extended Michigan State’s scoreless streak, but that Toney missed the block with his hand and got it with his head.

Meanwhile, Penn State is off to its typical start, scoring three touchdowns in the first half. Michigan State trails the Nittany Lions, 21-0, at halftime.
