Penn State found itself on the wrong end of a controversial call at the end of its 36-35 loss to Indiana.

The Hoosiers pulled off a wild upset after official ruled that Michael Penix’s 2-point conversion attempt crossed the plane before the ball touched out of bounds.

Indiana needed a lot of help just to get to this position — including three missed field goals by the Nittany Lions and a mistake by running back Devyn Ford at the end of regulation.

Leading 21-20 with less than two minutes remaining, Ford scored a touchdown rather than running out the clock. That gave Indiana the chance to score again and, with a 2-point conversion, send the game to over time.

The rest is history.
