Penn State fans are sounding off on James Franklin’s regularly scheduled team tweet

Things are not going well for James Franklin lately.
It was bad enough that Penn State started the season 0-2 with losses to Indiana and Ohio State. The only silver lining is that those two teams are now ranked in the Top 10 on the AP Poll.
However, things took a nosedive for the football program after getting beat soundly by Maryland in Week 3. That is the same Maryland team that scored 3 points in a blowout loss to Northwestern and allowed 40+ points in a game that the Terps won against Minnesota.
Now rolling into Week 4, the Nittany Lions will face Nebraska still in search of their first win of 2020. On Sunday evening, Franklin put out his traditional team of the week tweet:
Nebraska, Nebraska, Nebraska, Nebraska, Nebraska, Nebraska, Nebraska, Nebraska, Nebraska, Nebraska, Nebraska, Nebraska, Nebraska, Nebraska, Nebraska, Nebraska, Nebraska, Nebraska, Nebraska, Nebraska, Nebraska, Nebraska, Nebraska, Nebraska, Nebraska,
Nebraska, Nebraska!!!#WeAre— James Franklin (@coachjfranklin) November 9, 2020
Unfortunately, fans took this as an opportunity to sound off on the current state of things:

#NotSoFast Regardless who we play this week.. How are you going to save the remainder of this season and why have you underperformed as badly as you have so far this season.

0-3…is that our ROI on a contract extension? Do you have a second string QB you can try so you can at least loose with an excuse? PSU 1980…when we had a real Coach!

Why do you post this? Just because a philosophy or method has worked in the past does not ensure success today. Adapt & Overcome Adversity. We deserve what we accept! Mediocrity or Excellence? What is 0-3? Not excellent or elite or average.🙏🏻🧞♂️🏈👌😊
