Penn State football added a commitment from 3-star Edge Xavier Gillam out of Maryland Sunday afternoon.

Gilliam committed to the Nittany Lions following a recent official visit on June 2. He’s set to enter his senior year at Wilde Lake HS in Columbia, MD.

He chose Penn State over the likes of Texas A&M, Ole Miss, Minnesota, Duke and Virginia Tech, to name a few.

Gilliam stands at 6-3, 260 pounds and is the first edge rusher added to Penn State’s top 10 2024 class.

He’s considered to be the No. 1,074 prospect in the nation, as well as the No. 73 Edge and the No. 29 player out of the state of Maryland.
