The years-long saga between Penn State and Bob Shoop appear to be at an end.

The former Nittany Lion defensive coordinator has settled with his former employer on the federal lawsuit that claimed he owed the school nearly $900,000 after leaving Penn State following the 2015 season.

The school issued the following statement as the two sides have ended the dispute and are prepared to move on.

“Both Coach Shoop and Penn State are pleased to bring this matter to an amicable resolution,” according to John Beauge of Penn Live.

“Coach Shoop wishes continued success for the Penn State football program and remains grateful for the support he received from the coaching staff, support staff and the fans while he was at Penn State. Penn State recognizes that Coach Shoop was an integral part of the coaching staff during his tenure at Penn State and wishes him the best in his future endeavors.
