Penn State freshman RB rips off long TD, delivers massive truck in fall camp
Penn State is looking for improved production from the backfield after a lackluster showing in 2021. The Nittany Lions also regrouped and reloaded at running back via the 2022 recruiting class.
That recruiting class included Nick Singleton, a 5-star prospect and the top RB in the nation for the cycle, and Kaytron Allen, a 4-star prospect and No. 12 RB nationally. Recently, it was Allen that turned heads in practice.
In a video shared by Penn State Wednesday, Allen – wearing No. 13 – is seen making multiple defenders miss while cutting back across the field. He finished that play by outrunning the defense for a touchdown.
Later in the video of RB highlights, Allen is seen trucking over a defender before ripping off another big gain.
Here is the video of the running back highlights:

It will be interesting to see how Allen and Singleton fit into the backfield of returners with Devyn Ford and Keyvone Lee. So far, it looks like Allen is making a big impression in camp.
