Penn State will be without guard Myreon Jones for a third-straight game. He has missed all three contests due to illness.

Ben Jones of StateCollege.com reported that Jones will be out for Penn State’s game against Northwestern on Saturday. Jones also missed games against Purdue and Minnesota.

Jones is averaging 14 points per game, which ranks second on the team behind only Lamar Stevens, who is averaging 17.6 points per game.

Penn State has still come away with victories over Minnesota and Purdue, even without Jones on the floor. It’s part of a seven-game winning streak the Nittany Lions are currently riding.

Penn State enters Saturday’s game as the No. 13 team in the country with a 19-5 record. The Nittany Lions are are 9-4 in B1G play, just one game behind Maryland for first place in the standings. Northwestern is 1-12 in conference games with a 6-17 record overall.
