Penn State did not have the smoothest of trips to Minnesota in Week 13. Fortunately, the Nittany Lions came away with the clutch plays late to grab a 26-25 win.

On Sunday, Penn State handed out its Players of the Game for the weekend, and a total of 5 players were honored. Starting on the offensive side of the ball, star tight end Tyler Warren was the only player to receive the recognition.

Warren was Penn State’s leading receiver with 8 catches for 102 yards and continues to be a versatile weapon for Andy Kotelnicki.

Defensive back Zane Durant and linebacker Kobe King both received defensive honors for strong outings. King led the team with 5 solo tackles (9 total tackles) and added 1.5 TFLs while Durant led Penn State with 2.5 TFLs.

On special teams, lineman Dominic Rulli and place kicker Ryan Barker took home recognition. Barker has stabilized the kicking game for Penn State and was 2-for-2 on field goals with 8 total points accounted for.

Penn State moved to 10-1 with the win over Minnesota, and the path to the College Football Playoff should remain clear when the updated rankings come out Tuesday night. A win against Maryland, with or without a Big Ten Championship appearance, should put Penn State into the 12-team field to play for a national championship.
