Penn State is 5-0 this season. Every win hasn’t been a blowout, but four of the five have been — outside of a 17-10 win over in-state rival Pittsburgh.
We knew coming into this season that the Nittany Lions were going to be fast. We also knew that they were going to be young. Coach James Franklin said as much all offseason. The statement being made that this could be his fastest, most athletic, yet youngest group was made.

So far in 2019, that appears to be the case.
In five games so far, Penn State has scored 30 touchdowns. Guess how many of them have been scored by freshmen or sophomores.

That’s right, 28 of the 30 have been scored by underclassmen. That’s an incredible amount. That’s literally over 90 percent (93 to be exact).
Penn State has got its fair share of electrifying athletes. Unfortunately for the rest of the conference, it will be seeing these Nittany Lions for the next few years, too.
