Penn State hoops earned a commitment from former Lafayette forward transfer Leo O’Boyle Tuesday evening. O’Boyle played the past 4 seasons at Lafayette and will be using his Covid-19 eligibility year for a final season in college basketball.

And O’Boyle is a solid pickup for the Nittany Lions, who have already done strong work in the transfer portal this offseason. He averaged 11.6 points, 3.6 rebounds, and 1.6 assists for the Leopards last season.

He also has some familiarity with Penn State. O’Boyle dropped 19 points on the Nittany Lions during Lafayette’s matchup against Penn State back in November.

O’Boyle joins an impressive incoming transfer class, consisting of former VCU standouts Ace Baldwin and Nick Kern, former North Carolina forward Puff Johnson and former temple small forward Zach Hicks.
