A point guard out of Virginia is heading to Penn State.

On Thursday, the Nittany Lions basketball program picked up a verbal pledge from 2022 guar Kanye Clary. The 6-foot guard out of Woodstock, Virginia made his announcement with a post on Twitter.

“After a great visit at Penn State with (Coach Micah Shrewsberry) and staff, I’m glad to say I’m committed to Penn State University!!” Clary wrote on Twitter.

Eight programs have offered Clary during the recruiting process. He picked Penn State over Hampton, James Madison, Norfolk State, North Carolina A&T, Old Dominion, Radford, and Texas A&M.

Clary is the first player of the 2022 class to commit to Penn State’s basketball program. He does not currently have any ratings from 247Sports.
