Penn State is attempting to eliminate the use of 'PJ's' this week due to game against P.J. Fleck, Gophers
Penn State is unbeaten at 8-0. So is Minnesota. The Golden Gophers are also 8-0.
The two teams face each other at noon ET on Saturday at Minnesota for a chance to go 9-0 and acquire a signature win. Due to the magnitude of the game, Penn State Director of Marketing Phil Mullen is asking for Penn State to eliminate the use of “PJ’s” for the entire week.
Why?
Because P.J. Fleck coaching the Golden Gophers.
Here’s Mullen’s tweet:
Out of respect for @coachjfranklin and the team we’re eliminating “PJ’s” all week… asking fellow Penn Staters to join me🚫
🚨No use of PJ’s this week… nicknames, pajamas, twitter handles🚨

People are backing it:
OK Phil! You got it! #WeAre #OneTeam https://t.co/a8teXQukCa

So, if you’re around Penn State’s campus this week and notice no pajamas being worn by students (it’s a college campus, it’s not crazy) whatsoever, this may be why. For what it’s worth, Fleck and Nittany Lions coach James Franklin appear to have a good relationship.

But, hey, whatever works.
