Penn State grew its 2025 recruiting class on Monday with a new commitment.

Lyrick Samuel is the newest verbal pledge to the Nittany Lions. The wide receiver from New York took to social media to announce he plans to play for James Franklin’s program.

A standout of Brooklyn (New York) Erasmus Hall High School, Samuel is listed as measuring over 6-3 and 175 pounds. On the 247Sports Composite, Samuel is rated 3-stars, the No. 2 player in the state of New York, No. 109 wide receiver and No. 714 prospect in the Class of 2025.

Samuel has four scholarship offers at this point of his recruitment. He committed to Penn State over Michigan State, Rutgers and Syracuse.
