Penn State added a major piece to its 2025 recruiting class on Sunday afternoon.

The Nittany Lions earned a commitment from 3-star offensive lineman Owen Aliciene. He also holds offers from programs such as Florida State, Texas A&M, Michigan State and Rutgers, amongst others.

Aliciene is a big-time pickup for Penn State. He’s the No. 541 overall player and the No. 43 offensive lineman in the country for the class of 2025, per 247Sports Composite rankings. He’s also the No. 6 player from the state of Connecticut.

The Avon, Connecticut, native is listed at 6-foot-7, 285 pounds. He still has nearly a year before he can officially sign with a college program, but his frame indicates he could potentially be an early contributor in Happy Valley.

Penn State is off to a fast start in the class of 2025. The Nittany Lions already have 8 commits in that cycle. The group sits at No. 6 nationally, per 247Sports Composite rankings.
