Penn State is still working on putting the 2024 recruiting class together. On Friday, the Nittany Lions remained in the mix for one of the top tight end prospects for the cycle.

The player is Caleb Odom, a 6-foot-5 and 215-pound TE out of Carrollton High School in Georgia. Odom is rated as one of the top 100 players in the country by the 247 Sports Composite and dropped a fresh top 7 list Friday morning.

Penn State remains in the mix alongside a number of other premier programs including Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Ole Miss, Colorado and Miami.

The 247 Sports Composite rates Odom as a 4-star prospect and the No. 6 TE in the country for the 2024 recruiting class. He’s also rated as the 85th player in the nation and the 14th overall player out of Georgia.

To this point, Penn State has compiled a recruiting class that ranks 6th nationally. The Nittany Lions have one TE committed in the group in Luke Reynolds, a 3-star prospect out of Connecticut.
