Penn State LB Micah Parsons ejected for targeting against Maryland
Penn State is off to a hot start against Maryland, but the Nittany Lions will have to go the rest of the way without one star defender.
Linebacker Micah Parsons was ejected in the first quarter after being flagged for targeting on a hit delivered to Maryland quarterback Josh Jackson. The hit was definitely late and came after Jackson had released his throw downfield.

The targeting call was reviewed with the call being upheld. Targeting is always a tricky subject, but Parsons certainly appeared to launch himself with his shoulder making contact to the head and neck area of Jackson. As a result of the call, Parsons was ejected.
Here is the video clip of the play and hit on Jackson:
Ouch. Micah Parsons ejected early against Maryland for targeting. Looks like the right call but a big blow. pic.twitter.com/QNaP4hrgVU
