Penn State OC Mike Yurcich hopes 1 primary option will emerge from RB rotation
No. 4 Penn State is off to an undefeated start and has been strong offensively overall. However, a consistent No. 1 running back has yet to emerge.
Penn State offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich is optimistic that someone will eventually stand out from the pack:

Noah Cain leads Penn State with 59 carries, 187 yards, and three touchdowns. However, Cain is averaging only 3.2 yards per carry.
Keyvone Lee is tops for Penn State with 6.2 yards per carry on his 28 attempts. John Lovett has 23 carries for 95 yards.
No. 4 Penn State will face major challenge when it travels to face No. 5 Iowa on Oct. 9 (4 p.m. EST/FOX). Penn State is coming off a 24-0 shutout victory vs. Indiana. Iowa is coming off a 51-14 blowout victory vs. Maryland. Iowa won last season’s meeting but Penn State leads the all-time series 17-13.
