Penn State is heading to the Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl, landing in the New Year’s Six for a second straight season under James Franklin. That trip to Atlanta will also be to face an SEC opponent.

The matchup will pit the Nittany Lions against Ole Miss and head coach Lane Kiffin. The Rebels out of the SEC had a strong season but could not pull off wins in games against Alabama and Georgia.

For the Peach Bowl, Penn State opened as a 3-point favorite per Circa Sports. The point total for the game is also set for 52.5, and fans can head to ESPN Bet to take part in the action.

Penn State struggled in some of the biggest games of the season, but the Nittany Lions still finished the season with a top-15 unit on either side of the ball. The defense was especially impressive after finishing 3rd nationally in scoring while giving up just 11.4 points per game.

On Sunday, Franklin commented on the potential for opt-outs, a recurring theme in the college football postseason. Any decision to opt out is bound to have an impact on the game, but Franklin sounded hopeful to have most of the team available.
