Johnson is a 5-foot-10, 175-pound cornerback from Michigan. He was rated as the 34th-best player at his position and the seventh-best player from Michigan, according to 247 Sports. He’s currently attending Cass Tech High School.
Other B1G programs such as Ohio State, Michigan and Michigan State had offered Johnson, but the decision came between Penn State and Virginia Tech. Franklin is pleased that he was able to bring in another rising star to his defense:

Penn State was ranked No. 4 in the B1G with its 2017 recruiting class. Johnson’s commitment could move the Nittany Lions up in that category.
