Penn State players to honor injured teammates during Ohio State game
We love college football.
How can you not?
Most of the time, it’s for the action on the field. But sometimes, players and coaches plan something cool to do that even people who don’t like sports can appreciate.
Saturday night, No. 9 Penn State is hosting No. 4 Ohio State on ABC with the start time set at 7:30 p.m. For the top 10, B1G showdown, a couple Penn State players are honoring some injured teammates who are out for the year:
Couple of number updates heading into tonight’s Ohio State game. Miles Sanders will wear #8 in honor of Mark Allen and Shaka Toney will don #97 in honor of Ryan Buchholz. Allen will miss the season due to injury and Buchholz took a medical before the season started.

Miles Sanders, who typically wears No. 24, will be wearing No. 8 for Mark Allen. Shaka Toney, who is usually No. 18, will be switching to No. 97 for Ryan Buchholz.
Many eyes will be on the game tonight, and both Sanders and Toney will be playing with a little something extra in them.
